Dubai cancels fireworks for New Year's Eve!


As the UAE and world residents gaze at the city center of Dubai on New Year's Eve, with annual fireworks and spectacular performances to celebrate the New Year, authorities said on Wednesday that the upcoming "fireworks" will be replaced by laser toys, because they are safer and safer. 
The UAE's Emaar Group said on Wednesday that New Year's celebrations at Burj Khalifa in Dubai will be light shows on the world's tallest building instead of traditional fireworks. 
Ahmed Al-Matroushi, managing director of Emaar Group, said that the laser shows will be accompanied by music of its own. 
He explained in a press conference that the aim of replacing fireworks with light displays "to come up with something new and we will not use the same old ways," adding "
Dubai police said they expected 1.5 million people to see laser displays on Burj Khalifa. 
Brigadier Abdullah Al-Ghaithi, Director General of Dubai Police Security, said in a press conference on Wednesday that the security services in the Gulf emirate "have put all their human and technical capabilities to provide comfort and smooth movement to all visitors in the show areas." 
And announced measures to organize the main celebration, including the closure of roads, and the provision of a number of tents in the center of Dubai to provide services for missing and first aid, logistics and other services.
